1 1/2 half pounds ground turkey
1/4 cup low-fat milk
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper, optional
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
In large bowl combine all ingredients except for ketchup and brown sugar. Place mixture in 8x4x2-inch nonstick loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 45 minutes. In a small bowl stir together ketchup and brown sugar. Spread over meatloaf. Return meatloaf to oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 165 F and center of loaf is no longer pink
Microwave variation: Place meatloaf mixture in microwave-safe dish. Cover loosely and cook on high for 10 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 165 F. Top with ketchup mixture and return to microwave for 1 minute.
Slow Cooker Variation: Place loaf in slow cooker. Top with ketchup mixture, cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours.
